Udr patta error

Dear Sir, My father and his brother had oral partition in 1976, after oral partition they positioned their partition lands and both of them got the patta separately during UDR scheme in 1985. I have noticed patta number is same, but my father name wrongly printed in A register, but in patta and chitta printed correctly. My father name is M. Kaverichetty but the printed wrongly M. Kavetichetty. The problem is my father name and his grand father name some what same. My father grand father name is M. kavetichetty (only one letter difference). My father brother used this spelling mistakes after 40 years, he applied the petition to RDO and changed the patta. Do RDO has the power to cancel the patta after 40 years? Please help me on this.

Hi Sir,

Patta book and number along with Survey numbers issued by Tahsildar in 1998 with my father name (M. Kaverichetti). Patta number is correct and only the spelling mistakes in the name. Can you please advice me to proceed further.

Thanks,

Murugan
