Two idendity cards

Dear All, I born and brought up in my mother's home in kannur, kerala. I have voter ID card and passport in that address. All my educational and professional documents are belongs to that address. my parents are living in coorg dt. Karnataka. One politcion asked me to give him my SSLC certificate and passport to make voter ID of karnataka state.as i wasn't aware about the consequences of this, i provided both and i got Voter id of karnataka also.(i never filled any form or signed any document or never appeard infront of any authority regarding the same).but i casted vote in both states and took driving licence of karnataka using my karnataka ID.i want to give up my karnataka documents but i am not enough courages to go goverment authorities and say all these as i am affraid of initiating legal action againest me. Is there any solutin to get out of this delima.
