For the past few days, Supreme Court judgements on its website carry the water mark of the Supreme Court. When downloaded, printed and produced before courts, will they be treated as authentic?
hello sir . as per the amendment of evidece act 21 OF 2000 and the passing of IT act 2000 the printout of judgements of H'able SUPREME COURT AND H'able HIGH COURT MAY BE PRODUCED IN A COURT and shall be treated by the court as a document. Hence they shall be treated authentic and may be admissible by the court as a secondary evidence of the facts therein stated.

but such copies do not replace the certified copies.
even if some order is produced before the trial court in this manner, (like in bail matters) , it is the duty of the concerned court to cross check it from the SC or HC whatever is the situation.
