Suing a foreign institution

Can an Indian citizen sue a Foreign Institution (based in the foreign country having no branches in India) when the cause of action took place in the said foreign country? Can the Indian National sue vide Indian courts or does he needs to go to the Foreign Court for redressal? Kindly tell me the procedure and all the options available.

There are generally two options regarding jurisdiction. One is where the company/institution is based, the other is where the cause of action arose.

So no, you cannot sue in India. If you do, and even manage to get a judgment, it will not be enforceable and just be a waste of money. Send me a message with the name of the institution and country they're in (and where the cause of action was) and I'll see if I can help.
