If an auto is illegally parked in front of your residence causing a nuisance and the police are not taking action, you can escalate the issue by filing a formal complaint with the police station or higher authorities like the Superintendent of Police, or even consider legal action. You can also explore options like contacting the traffic police helpline or filing a complaint for public nuisance. Take photographs or videos of the illegally parked auto and the nuisance it's causing. If the local police are unresponsive, try contacting the traffic police helpline or the traffic police department. Send a written complaint to the Superintendent of Police (SP) of your area, outlining the problem and the inaction of the local police. If the issue persists, consider filing a case for public nuisance under Section 270 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS)
