Stamp duty, registration and gst on flats in redevelopment

Hi,

In redevelopment, when a builder promises a new larger flat to existing members with the new flat area being mentioned in the DA and PAA.
I need a clarification on the stamp duty, registration and GST applicable on the new flat, after browsing around I understand that for existing members there is a nominal stamp duty of only Rs. 1000/- and no GST applicable.

Is this understanding correct?

Stamp duty is collected on the basis of property value at the time of registration. Stamp duty's amount varies from state to state and also property type—old or new. Since it adds up to the property cost, it's better to have a fair idea before you finalise your property deal.
