85 bns cruelty

Fir. Has been filed under 85 BNS and CBT in January. And notice 35(3) has been issued. By the police till today the matter is  no police investigation nor any  call has come from police and lady has also filed DV case in 8 May

Now my question is CBT can police take complaint of lady regarding streedhan without asking the bills and proof that shows the genunity of the case just on her statement or there is some other procedure

Now lady  has filed. Cruelty case.  CBT and. DV case and asking to do settlement and inlaws side are in fear that again that lady can approach to police after few months and complaint against against the inlaws family have that fear which is not wrong from my side

I am one of the relative from both side family and looking all this scenario I am speech less  what can be done

Quasing 528. Is  h c.

Is there any other legal way to solve this matter as well as in law family to keep safe

What is CBT? What do you mean by 35(3)? Is this a query or a riddle?

Hyper-technical facts have been mentioned therein this post.

Section 85 BNS corresponds to section 498A IPC, i.e, cruelty committed by husband or his relatives against women.

CBT stands for criminal breach of trust, for taking cognisance u/s 406 IPC isn't it ?

Prima facie it is a question paper or moot court topic with unrealistic facts.

Since the matter is pending before high court with a quash petition, you may await the disposal.

If you would like to know any other platform to settle the matter, then better arrange for reconciliation between the parties and settle the matter amicably  and reduce the  terms and conditions of settlement in writing in the form of  a Memorandum of understanding duly signed by both the parties by making at least one witness from either side signing the deed.
