Just curious to know, is it legal to rent private or personal properties?
Like If I have a home which has five rooms, Can I rent two of my rooms for shortterm or long term rent?

Your query is not understandable or you are not clear abut what you want to clarify. What stops you from renting out your property to others ? If it is your own property and wish to rent it out or give it on lease for a short term or long term, it is absolutely your decision, you do not have to seek somebody's permission r opinion in this regard.
