Same salary for years

Hi there,

This is to inquire as to whether a company can continue to pay the same salary without any hikes for years.  Is there any law to which guides companies for salary hikes in keeping with the price index.   Also can a company give a different obviously higher salary in US and much lower for the same work in India.  If the company is doing that then what are ways to claim the same salary.

  1. Min.Wages Act takes care of it and takes CPI into proportion.
  2. Yes it can pay in another country as per prevalent laws of the land.
  3. Form employee’s unions,IC,GUILD, GRC etc …………..affiliate with trade unions e.g. CITU/INTUC/AITUC?BMS etc and get the union recognized and also form ‘Works Committee’ that is an authority as per ID Act. Then negotiate service conditions, wages, perks etc with employer(s).
  4. If company is violating any law, resorts to unfair practices, malpractices etc expose it.
  5. Don’t work with such employers and make a timely change and make such employers popular amongst the community of employees.
