Regarding agriculture land in tenancy act

Hi, we had a agriculture land in 80s and that was taken as part of tenancy act. Since my father was a kid when my grandfather died the farmer who was cultivating the land took the land. We were not aware that we had such property and we came to know by some sources now. Can we get the land back as our family is not owning any agriculture land. Is there a provision in the law that we can file case in this scenario
