RTI

Council of Indian School Certificate Examination is public authority or not  as per RTI Act?

CISCE telling that not getting any fund from govt. but conducting public exams and registered under Society Registration Act.

Yes it has u have to make file the said application before the Ministry who have a control over the said council.

Just right. Clear provisions are in RTI Act. It is a public Authority but be tactful. Send the application addressed to "Public Information Officer, (Concerned Ministry viz. Ministry of Education),... If no proper action is taken, send the appeal addressed to "Appellate uthority (Same Ministry)" and than second appeal to CIC or SIC of the concerned state / region. Involve media also.
