First get it mutation on your name in the govt. records. Mutation is the change of title ownership from one person to another when the property is sold or transferred. By mutating a property, the new owner gets the property recorded on his name in the land revenue department and the government is able to charge property tax from the rightful owner. The documentation procedure and the fee payable vary from state to state.

thank you for this quick reply sir, but i want to tell you that the parties involved in agreement where my father and my grandfather, so the question i want to ask you now sir, that is, i noticed in the agreement that the entire land had been sactioned and the rights had been reserved to my grandfather for the afforsaid flat, of 511 sq feet, and the rest of it under my fathers contruction company,  and as both of them have passed away and my grandmother still being alive, can i get that flat mutated on my/our, by our i mean me and my brothers name?  thank you sir.
