Authority letter do not grant any power to act.  Its only authorization to reprsent a person.  By executing Power of Attorney, the executant grants various powers under which the Constituted Attorney can act for and on behalf of his Principal.

Authority can be given for some small act for exam..for collecting document....

power of attorny is meant for major, legal act which the giver has to accede to it later

SPA or  GPA is the only document authorising a person for sale of property.

No authority letter is proper document for the transaction.
