Name spelling correction in birth certificate

HELLO,

I am Sajan from mumbai. In my wife's name ther is a spelling mistake, her original name being NANCY George, but in her birth certificate it was wrongly spelt as NANZI. Her school certificate and all other documents bear NANCY as her official name only birth certificate has this error. She belongs to kotarakara. So can some one plz help me what to do for the correction of her name in her birth certificate.

Hello friend

For correction of Name's spelling first and formost you have to approach to concerned Birth & Death Registrar of that place from where initially birth certificate was issued. You have put up an application alongwith some required affidavits as directed by Registrar.
