Legal right of stepson in property after death of stepfather

hi sir ,

i am adopted son of my stepfather . sir please tell me my right after the death of my stepfather . Can my father property shared equaly belongs to my mother , my brother ( my stepfather son ) and to me . sir please suggest me as soon as possible .

Some clarification required

1) Whether your step father adopted you legally ?

2) Which religion you and your step father follows ?

See adoption has wide meaning . But legally adoption have only one meaning.

My question whether you where legally adopted within frame work of law and how ?
