Joint tenancy ownership

My mother owns a flat in mumbai solely in her name. She want to add my name to the property. Both of us are Non residant indians (NRI). In UK where we live there are 2 ways of adding my name to a property, either "Joint Tenency" or "Tenancy in Common". I understand that Joint Tenency has "right of survivorship" and in the event one of the joint tenents dies the property automatically passes to the other joint tenant without lengthy court procedures. Is it possible to impliment "Joint Tenency" in India and please can you guide how it can be done.

All your detailed guidance on the steps to do this would be greatly appreciated.

Regards,

Radha
