Is dp3, dp4 are compundable?

Hi All,

The bitter half filed false 498-A, DP3, and DP4 cases in AndhraPradesh

If there is out-of-court settlement and if the terms and conditions are prepared at LOK-ADALAT, do we need to go to HC for quashing the matter? or can she with-draw the 498-A , DP3 and DP4 cases at lower court it self?

SEC 3 AND 4 OF DOWRY PROHIBITION ACT ARE NOT COMPOUNABLE BUT IF THE MATTER HAS REACHED SETTLEMENT YOU CAN REQUEST THE APP TO WITHDRAW THE SEC. 3 AND 4 OF DP ACT U/SEC.321 CRPC WHICH IS THE PRACTICE IN ANDHRA PRADESH

Hi Sreenivas Sir/Shonee Kapoor Sir,

I am convicted for 5 years under DP act 3 and 4 but not on 498A in trail court in november 2014. I came out on bail and the case is now in District court . Now My wife and I are ready for settlement with the help of village elders. In this situation what is the process to close the DP act3 and 4 case?.

Your are inputs are most appreciated. Thanking you. Please advice me on this.
