Indian songs copied by westerners

this turkish song "Olmaz Bu Ä°ÅŸ Olamaz" which came out in 1970 is a copy of the indian song "jhoomta mausam mast mahina" which came out in 1959

I've heard of classical music being remixed into Western numbers for that exotic sound. Surely that's also stealing. I guess we Indians are not the only plagiarists, although we're No.1 ;D
