A sale deed was done in 1988 on the stamp paper of Rs. 10 (or probably Rs. 20). But it was unregistered.
To purchase such property from the owner above (who did not register while purchasing), is it required for me to have this sale deed reigstered? Is it possible to register the unregistered sale deed that was done in 1988? What is the process in this case? (In case it differs from state to state, I am referring to Pune, Maharashtra). Also, what are the chrages here?
What happens if the orginal person with whom the current owner did the sale deed, is no more alive?
