I stay in Nagpur , and my Grandmother ( who was staying with me for past 5 years ) gifted her agricultural land ( which was in turn gifted to her by her father in law ) vide a registered gift deed last year.
Grandmother died last year ; when I had appoached the concerned authority to change the name, they wanted an NOC from my Paterents / Uncle and Aunt . While my parents and aunt did not have issue with it. My uncle appoarched the court stating that land cannot be gifted as it is Ancestral.
I am not sure what needs to be done. Or if the land actually can be categorized as Ancestral.
Please advice.
