We, as a company have to make payment to the deceased employee in respect of group insurance policy amount Rs.10 Lacs.
The employee during his joining, had put his brother as a nominee for the purpose of PF, Gratuity and ESIC, if applicable.
The Group Insurance Policy amount was not mentioned at that time.
We wish to make payment of the said amount to his dependent father.
Please give your opinion, whether we need to obtain Succession Certificate from court or any undertaking from his heirs to make the payment in aforesaid manner.
