Forceful addmission to rehabilitation centre (For Alcohol)

Forceful addmission to rehabilitation centre (For Alcohol)

Sir/Madam Can you please let me know if a person is forcefully admitted to rehabilitation center, what he can do to prevent this. (he is out of the alcohol related problems at present.) The rehabilitaion people do not listen as they are interested in fees. They keep a person locked for 7 months 10 days and do not allow family members to meet the patient. Nether allow the patient to meet the family members.

Well, the way rehabilitaion work, is pretty smart, clever.
Today if my brother and mother approached any rehabilitaion center, all they have to do is sign the pickup(for patient) form and the person is taken to rehabilitation center forcefully.
If this happens, is there any protection for the patient. becoz once he is in rehab, forget the next six months he will be able to meet outsider. If anyone comes also, the rehab people threaten the patient , "you need to speek what we have told". And before the patient gets to meet the family members, the rehab people conviene the family he will be kept for more time. In that process when the patient is denied exit from the family members he in most senario abuses family members in front of everybody. NOW this is a welcome sign for rehab people" as they tell the family members, this is reason why we said he needs to be in rehab for more time".....

I understand the suggestion of writing to HUMAN RIGHTS COMMISSION AND  MEDICAL COUNCIL OF THE STATE

but the rehab people will tell, the respective commissions that their family have send them and we have the proof. and more over they get us sign papers for the addmission when inside the rehab. that includes papers such as, if the patient dies, rehab is no way responsible.
