forged marksheet

if anybody makes forged marksheet of 10th due to misguidance in early age for marriage certificate in sense of born date only. Although he was bright student but under circumstances n misguidence he had to do it.
Actually he made dat marksheet by editing in date of birth.
Now He is posted in state govt Rajasthan.
He wants to file for Divorce n afraid of this drawback to b disclose by wife after filing fr Divorce .
Will he loss his job?

Forgery is forgery. its not have parameter scale .Better to consult local lawyer and act.

This action of using a forged document and a disputed date of birth is pardonable only to Army chief like V.P singh.

Otherwise act of above person is forgery. There's a difference between justification and defense. A justification may not be a defense muchless good at all.

As long as a document is forged and used for wrongful gain and causes injury or wrongful loss to other its punishable offense.

Whoever commits forgery shall be punished with imprisonment of jail term either descripttion for a span which may extend to two years or with the penalty, or with both. Under IPC it is a non-cognizable offence.
