Suicide attempt by my brothers wife.

We are in a united family. Family members are myself, my wife and my 4 years old daughter, my parents ,my elder brother(handicapped), my uncle and my younger brother and his wife. On 22nd day of August my my brothers wife attempted suicide by ingesting Harpic. See then immediately hospitalised by us and after 5days treatment recovered and released from hospital. But from 14th day her health starts to deteriorate again. She is under treatment and we are trying our best. Her parents are of very cheap mentality if anything Mishap happens they will definitely accuse as and affair in police station against us. I am a govt employee.According to law what can happen and what can we do?
