Does the expression "near relative" which include son, daughter etc, in Clause (i) of section 2 of the THOA, also include adopted son and daughter? Please comment.

In my opinion the expression, "son, daughter" also includes adopted son and daughter bcoz the legal status of an adopted child is equal to that of a natural child.
