What is the legal status of foreign volunteers working with various organizations in India? Most of such volunteers are on tourist visa, which, in my opinion, is not sufficient for employment, whether paid or unpaid. So, can an organization (NGO or otherwise) get into trouble by taking in foreign volunteers.

Give complaint to District collector on N.G.O. They will enquire and take action.
