Please clarify whether salary paid to fixed term contract employees attracts TDS. As Far as I know only appointment on consultancy basis attracts TDS if I am right.

As far as my knowledge is conserned, Fixed term salary does not attract TDS....Ajaay

pl note that fixes term employee appoint for fix period but they will get all benefit of permanent employee,if they r getting wages/remuneration more then the incom tex limit then only you will deduct tds accordingly otherwist there is no need to deduct tds
