While using e court services website to know about a case status through FIR numer for a particular state, district, court name and police station for a particular year only 65 cases were displayed i.e there are cases with FIR numbers 58/2015, 1551/2015 etc.
I mean there are so many missing numbers like 50/2015 or 1000/2015....
My question is How do police gives numbers to FIRs??
does 58/2015 means that is the 58th FIR of that particular police station for that year or is it for the whole city/district/state??
