Father Will property registration

Hi Experts,

Need your good advise here. My father was allotted a plot of 20x30 dimension and now it is in his name.

He wrote a will in which he gave away the above property to me (not as a gift) be fore he passed away. Now I want to transfer the property to my name, what is the best way to do this? How much charges should I pay for this in terms of stamp duty? Does the GIFT law applicable here?

Thanks for your help.

Just file an application before the concerned department along with the xerox copy of the will to get enter your name.  Nominal fees and tips to the concerned clerk is sufficient.

One more quick question, do I need to re-register in my name or just changing Khatha will do?

Will bank accept property in my father's name for loan purposes when i want to build home?

Thanks,
