Ex-serviceman reemployment

SIR, I AM AN EX-SERVICEMAN RETIRED FROM IAF AND PRESENTLY WORKING (FOR THE LAST 4 MONTHS)IN A GRAMMEN BANK IN AP.  THE PROBATION PERIOD IN THE GRAMEENA BANK IS FOR ONE YEAR.  MEAN WHILE BEFORE JOINING THIS BANK I APPLIED FOR SBI (WRITTED TEST) IN EX-SERVICEMAN QUOTA.  THIS MONTH THE FINAL RESULTS HAVE BEEN ANOUNCED AND I WAS SELECTED IN SBI.  DURING THE MEDICAL EXAMINATION, THE SBI (HR) PERSONNEL ANNOUNCED THAT ANY EX-SERVICEMAN WHO HAVE ALREADY JOINED IN ANY BANK ARE NOT ENTITLED TO JOIN THE SBI AS THEY ARE ALREADY AVAILED THE EX-SERVICEMAN QUOTA.  IF THEY JOINED WITHOUT DISCLOSING THE SAME,  THEIR SERVICE MAY BE TERMINATED IF THEY FOUND GUILTY.  SIR PLEASE CLARIFY :-

(1) WHETHER AN EX-SERVICEMAN LOOSES HIS BENEFITS IF HE JOINS THE SECOND BANK DURING THE PROBATION PERIOD ?

(2) IF NO, CAN YOU PLEASE FORWARD REQUIRED INFORMATION / OFFICE MEMORANDUM OR ANY THING ON THIS SUBJECT SO THAT I CAN GO FURTHER.

You have posted that:

And

“IF THEY JOINED WITHOUT DISCLOSING THE SAME,  THEIR SERVICE MAY BE TERMINATED IF THEY FOUND GUILTY.”

If you join SBI you should disclose to SBI whether you joined GRAMMEN BANK IN EX-SERVICEMAN QUOTA or not?

--“ MEAN WHILE BEFORE JOINING THIS BANK I APPLIED FOR SBI (WRITTED TEST) IN EX-SERVICEMAN QUOTA.”

Did you join THIS GRAMMEN BANK in EX-SERVICEMAN QUOTA?

If yes, you must disclose to SBI in joining forms and if you disclose you may not get employment and if you conceal you may face termination/dismissal from SBI which shall affect your future employability and employment options.

THIS GRAMMEN BANK may have its own rules on separation as per appointment letter issued to you, standing orders if any, bond/service agreement signed by you.

Hence before you decide to separate you should go thru service rules of GRAMMEN BANK. If you violate the rules GRAMMEN BANK may become adamant and may not relive you and may not issue relieving letter.

You may be right in your judgment that employment with SBI may better than Grameen Bank but you should protect your current job and may not leave till you obtain clarity on applicable rules. The HR/Personnel Dept. of SBI/Grameen Bank, Union Office of the banks, nearest Ex-Servicemen centre/ Army Placement agencies operating in all Commands can help you.

The rules on how many times benefit of Ex-Servicemen quota can be availed are not available. Valuable advice of learned experts/members is sought.
