Equitable mortgage

I have received a property through Will and the Will has been probated through the Court. Also, my name has been updated in the Record of Rights. Also, I have all the original documents viz Sale Deed, Mutation, Will etc. Can Equitable Mortgage be created on the Property? If yes, Kindly provide the necessary details. Thanks

Yes mortgage can be created with the submission of title deeds and signing of the mortgage deed. Kindly contact the bank or the institution through which you are planning to take the loan.

Mortgage Deed would require registration and hence attract stamp duty. While equitable mortgage does not entail any cost. Is equitable mortgage possible? Please clarify
