Hello. I am being appointed as public servant and I gave affidavit regarding my place of birth to the VR section of police station as per their request for verification purpose. Now police called me station and asked me to submit identify proof regarding a person I mentioned in affidavit. Am I duty bound to do that ? I thought affidavit executed by judicial magistrate is enough. What should I do ?
