Delay filling fir 498a

Dear All

My wife has left my house on April 13, 2010 and filed 498A on Jan. 18, 2012.

I have come to know that on delay filling FIR can be quashed.

Is there any body who can know me the judgment of SC/HC where 498A has been quashed on delay filling FIR.

THANKS AND REGARDS

There is no need for any particular judgment to buttress your case for quashing. The delay of 9 months on her part to register the FIR is inexplicable, and manifests that the process of law has been set in motion with a mala fide intent, which you should make the basis of your quash petition.

delay alone is not enough to quash.
