lawyer fees

How do lawyers charge their fees? If lawyer says that he charges Rs 1 lakhs for a case,does that mean that he is charging rs 1 lakh for as long as the case goes on or rs.1 lakh fees is being charged per hearing ?

Charging of legal fees is as decided between advocate and client.

what I am asking is that if a lawyer says that I charge 1 lakhs fees for a case,does that mean that this fees is for the entire duration of the case or the said fees is per hearing ?
