Cheque bounce case

I took Rs.72,000/- from one of my colleagues and gave 3 blank cheques, unfortunately I lost my job and requested him to give some time but he now has sent lawyer notice for Rs.3,00,000/- , how should I defend now. Please reply....

You should defend your case. hire a counsel and direct him to send reply to the legal notice.

What is the time gap between your taking loan and your friend sending lawyer notice? Did you take the loan by cash or cheque? Has your friend presented all the cheques in the bank? What was the purpose of taking loan?

What you can do depends on your answer to all these questions.

I took loan on 13/06/2016 (6 months before) through cheque (In the lawyer notice he stated Rs.72000/- through cheque and remaining through cash same date). He has presented one cheque only. Purpose for (Personal purpose) interest of 6% and paid interest regularly till October 2016. In lawyer notice he has stated amount given in friendship not for interest purpose. Pl reply mam...
