Change of caste from SC to Brahmin

A friend of mine is curious to know e procedure to convert his caste from SC to Brahmin so that he could get married to a Brahmin girl easily without any objections from girl's family. Any administrative procedure for conversion?

Ask brahmin guru who accepts him and convert him thru upanayana

If some brahmin family adopts him, there is a possibility of getting their caste.

Sorry, I am not aware of BRA's circumstances as to whether he has opted himself but remember only RG's claim as Hindu Brahmin of Bharadwajasa Gotra.
