Cfo as consultant payroll

Thanks in advance to everybody.

I have a query regarding appointing a Chief financial Officer as an consultant.

our company having CFO on payrolls, who need to be converted to consultant this FY.

is there any law guiding appointment of a CFO in rolls..

Please suggest.

It is entirely choice of establishment to engage a person of expertise on payroll/as consultant.

However in case of CFO get the matter examined by a counsel specializing in company matters and relate with compliance issues.
