A decree has been passes against my father for specific performance of a sales deed. if not from the advocate represented for the case, it is possible to get all the documents related to the case directly from the court. Advocate is saying that he miss placed the documents and lost 'em. I would like to review the case. Please tell if there is a way to get the documents.

If your father is a party to the case, he can apply for a certified copy of the documents filed with the court or even file a petition for return of the documents directly without the help of his lawyer. You may contact the bench clerk of the concerned court for further details.
