Can you hold two salaried jobs in india legally

I was wondering if a person can hold two jobs in India? My colleague has a full time employment with an IT company. He works from home. He has been offered a consultancy by another company ( not a rival company or IT company) to do some basic work like data entry. He wants to take it up as he has the time and he can earn some extra cash. Is this possible?

Both jobs are in private sector.

What about PF? Can a person draw PF from two companies?

Sudhir Kumar, Advocate (Advocate)     24 February 2016

EPF & MP Act does not debar dul PF cover for dual employees.

Every employer of such person has obligation to give PF cover.
