Rafi Ahmed (driver)     08 January 2012

@insaniyat thnx for your answer. however, as i am still living in dubai my acquittal will not be possible now i think? but my parents, uncles & brothers will clear their names soon as police knows their innocence after investigation on ground. so now my question is as soon as clear their names from this 498a they can sue my wife or no?

as far my concern, i know the case will be pending until i go back to india and take bail n present there.

@Rafi Ahmed,

No. Wait for your acquittal too.

Or else, your case will be a mess. First tell your relatives to enjoy life because they are now free, and leave you alone so that you can concentrate on your case to get justice.

No shortcut in court matters..

Rafi,

Depending upon which state you are in, you can also get AB and contest the case for getting acquittal.

It is a long drawn process, so don't get irritated and also don't jump the gun.

Thank you sir Shonee K. for your reply. I am from Assam (north eastern state of India) so shall i get AB before my departure? i called my lawyer who practicing in Guwahati HC but he said it is not possible until i come over. one more i need to clear is as my job is here in dubai and i have to go in 3 or 4 months of vacation, the court will allow me to back here to work? or i have to loose my job?

Well the lawyer in the said state would be better equipped to answer your queries, if relief is not granted there, you can move SC for the same.

I have seen numerous peoplw working abroad and fighting 498a in India.
