booking amount return

Hi sir,
To bought a land I gave 100000 as booking amount. But due to financial problem I am not able to pay rest amount so I cancelled the booking.
But they are saying they will only give 50% amount.
I didn't sign any agreement. Please help me what to do.

cheque payment ? can you establish the reason of payment and terms ? normally booking amount is forfeited by the land lord in case buyer fails to pay the rest amount. it also depends upon terms of sale.

Hi Pradeep sir, Thanks for the reply. I did payment by credit card. There are no terms where I signed.and I asked landlord to give in written for what they are deducting 50%.

your case is week...you swap your credit card on marchant machine ...you can negotiate and get more then 50%...it is difficult to establish the facts event that the case is week
