In the legal profession, the relationship between a lawyer and their client is built on trust, confidentiality, and communication.

While there's no straightforward law that dictates lawyers must share all documents presented in court with their clients, there are ethical obligations to consider.

 *Key Considerations:* -

*Confidentiality*: Lawyers have a duty to maintain client confidentiality, which may limit what information they can share.

- *Client Updates*: Attorneys are required to keep clients reasonably informed about the status of their case. -

*Professional Conduct*: Lawyers must comply with rules of professional conduct, which include providing clients with necessary information and supporting documentation.

*Best Practices:* - *Transparency*: Lawyers should be transparent with clients about the case's progress and any significant developments. -

*Communication*: Regular updates and open communication help build trust between lawyers and clients. -

*Documentation*: Clients have the right to access documents related to their case, especially those that might impact their decision-making.

*Legal Precedents:* - In general, clients own the documents prepared on their behalf, such as agreements or written representations.

 - Lawyers may own documents prepared for their own benefit or protection, like internal communications or drafts.

While there isn't a one-size-fits-all answer, lawyers should strive to balance their ethical obligations with the need to keep clients informed. If you're unsure about what information your lawyer should share, it's best to discuss your concerns with them directly.
