Marriage certificate

Hi,

I have done inter caste marriage. Me and my wife both are Indian from U.P.

I want to make marriage certificate and need to change my wife’s sir name.

1) Where to apply for it?

2) How long does it take?

3) How much cost?

4) What documents required?

Thanks,

Apply marriage registration  at  subm-registrar office at your place, U. P. ONLY. It takes 45 days time. obtain application form from the said office. all instructions to be followed as per the application form. Marriage ceremony photos to be attached.

Both are different things.  If you married under Hindu Marriage Act, you get the marriage registered to the marriage officer by applying for registration with proof of marriage documents.  Otherwise also, you can get your marriage registered under Special Marriage Act.  This marriage will be registered with the maident name of your wife.  Once registered, by getting the affidavit signed by her and by publication in Gazette, she can change her name as she liked.

Advised properly by learned Advocates Mr. Ramachary and Mr. Chandrasekar, you may follow the advises.
