“BABUS ARE BECOMING LAW UNTO THEMSELVESS”
Expressing concern that some of the government officials were becoming law onto themselves, the SC has asked babus to act within the confines of the statutory powers vested in them. When a statutory action is performed it must be done in the manner laid down in the statute or should not be performed at all, an SC BENCH ruled. “It is really a matter of great concern that the authorities in the central government are becoming a law unto themselves” SC said.
