I am staying in a hostel in pune. When we joined hostel on march 2014 the owner said the rent is Rs.3500. After 3 months in June he increased it to 4000. At present he is asking for 4500. Everything was without any prior notice. Like whenever we went to pay for current month he is asking for 500 extra. Is this allowed? i don't have rental agreement but he has signed in a form for my organisation in which it states that 3500 for the financial year april, 2015. And also all the receipts. Please help sir. He is increasing rent based on his needs.
