hi i have a civil case going on with the local town panchayat in tamilnadu when the later tried to take over the land. during the most recent hearing on this case, i was asked to produce the documents to show my enjoymnet possessin of this document and i gave the orignal (parent documnet)to my lawyer which he filed..but am concerned with giving this orignial now and wondering if i will ever get it back from the court. my lawyer assistant says i should wait for a year to get it back is the above process of submitting the originals a normal procedure..why cant my lawyer submit the xerox copy of the document can i ask the court to give the docs back
