A Tariff Conference of Central Excise on technical matters was organised by the CBEC this year on 28th and 29th October. In the Conference several decisions regarding technical issues of assessment and applicability of law were taken.
The Minutes of the conference consist of 53 issues on which clarification have been issued by the CBEC.

Thanks for sharing this important document whereby the Board has clarified various issues raised by different Commissionerates. Now that the Board has clarified the issues it is to be seen whether the field formations start applying the same and resolve pending disputes. The binding value of such instructions needs to be examined.
