Agricultural land

Husband is not a farmer. Wife's father is a farmer and has farm land in Maharashtra.

Can this wife apply for a farmer's certificate based on her father's farmer status?

Can this husband buy an agricultural land in Maharashtra, based on the fact that the wife's father is a farmer?

Please help, urgent.

Thanks.

So, wife can purchase this land in her own name only?

Husband can't add his name as 2nd holder either?
