As per your query regarding the topic ln vakalat and memo of appearance let elaborate about you about the matter.

VAKALATNAMA
Vakalatnama includes a memorandum of appearance or any other document by which an advocate is empowered to appear or plead before any court, tribunal, or other authority.
A Vakalatnama is a document empowering a lawyer to act for and on behalf of his client. A Vakalatnama under which a lawyer is empowered to act may be general. it may specifically confer wide authority upon a lawyer.

A lawyer holding a Vakalatnama can hardly be said to be a person without authority. The rule of constructing a document appointing an agent is different from that of construing a Vakalatnama appointing a counsel.
• This document holder is called the pleader & the validity shall remain till:
• The end of the case.
• The client of the pleader allows it.
• Death of the pleader or client.

MEMO OF APPEARANCE
A memo of appearance consists of a declaration signed by the advocate on record that he has been authorized, instructed, and engaged to appear, act and plead for the party, countersigned by the party that has personally authorized.
Where the party is illiterate, thumb impression or other mark of the party on the memo of appearance shall be attested by at least two literate witnesses, who shall furnish their names and addresses, including police station in case of a criminal matter.

Hope this helps!

Regards
