Affidavit in evidence

A witness makes an affidavit in evidence with few corrections/erasions made in the last para of the affidavit.

On cross examinations he states that he is not at all aware of the corrections made.

Can entire affidavit be dismissed in toto?

The whole affidavit would not be dismissed but doubts would arise as regards the truthfulness of its contents.

when witness is not aware of changes made in his affidavit filed in court then said affidavit is of no use in case.
